Killing Time...

So dear little Stella is less than 3 weeks away and the waiting game has begun. We went to the Dr. on Friday and she made the mistake of telling us that she thinks Stella will come early.

When????? What Day? What time? As you can imagine we pressed her for something more specific. We wanted a detail timeline of when we could expect our baby. But she just smiled and said, "There is really no way of knowing for sure." So we wait...

In our spare time Simi and I have watched the entire season of "True Blood," which is a crazy, sex-filled, show about vampires in Louisiana. It's a HBO series and we both really loved it but in hindsight we now realize that we have watched 12 hours of this show in the past week. I think it is time for a book!

The good news is I am 3 weeks ahead on my online coursework, and we are walking twice a day to try and stimulate a bit of a reaction from our little girl. Nothing yet but keep your fingers crossed that it will be soon. :)

Mom's 59th Bday

My lovely mom turned 59 on June 1st so we celebrated with brunch at the Gunther house and then had dinner at the casa. Mom's gift was an adirondack chair that she has been eyeing for some time. Happy Bday mom! Love you!

Meet Roberta

Our most prized Roberta has joined our family thanks to Grandpa and Vicki! She is going to be Stella's chariot of choice for the next few years so that mom and dad can get back to their svelte builds asap!

A Shower for Stella (Continued)

Yes, the two preggers gals wore the exact same dress. At the same time Simi showed how great he is with Nathaniel and decorations were just perfect. Thanks again Aimee, Mish, and Mama hen; You three did a wonderful job!

She's got moves you ain't never seen...

Annie can dance...period.

Stefanias

Here is my adorable niece Giana getting down and taking over the stage as my lovely mother in law gets busy next to the belly dancer. We were eating at Stefania's and it must be said that both Annie, Linda, and Giana were exceptionally better dancers than the entertainment for the night!

A Shower for Stella

On May 20, 2009 Aimee, Mish, my mom, and Simi's mom put on a shower that was unforgettable. I found it exhausting so I am sure that those who worked on it must have unbelievably tired! From the beers in baby bottles to a too close for comfort game of Twister I think it is safe to say everyone had a good time. Little Stella now has enough clothes to last her for her whole first year of life!! :)

Dinner at La Fogota

Friday night before the baby shower was a blast as we hung out with good friends, my mom, Aimee and Frankie, and Simi's wonderful Aunt Martha and Uncle Frank. I was getting dirty looks for drinking a limeade that strongly resembled a margarita but the night was a wonderful reminder of the joy good friends and family bring us!

Baby Shower Weekend

The baby shower weekend started with a bang as some of my favorite girlfriends and I hit the hot streets of San Antonio. Layla, Annie, Amanda and I made a quick (and I do mean really quick) stop at the Alamo and then had an awesome lunch at Josephine St. Layla was ridiculously embarrassed b/c we looked as if we were members of a orange loving cult so I changed to make her happy. She's like that...
